“The first surface works with which Georgia Creimer introduced herself to the public in São Paulo 1985 were illusorily painted, bulging figures whose cartilaginous  outgrowths and scrolls are directly reminiscent of the Rococo auricle ornament. Their placing on the even wall and their subversive lodging in the modernist architecture unambiguously followed the most important purpose of ornamentation of previous times, that is the vitalisation of the functional subject-matter world that people have built and designed.”
