Lent Landscpaes

In cooperation with Martin Stenger

Temporary installation / Lunz am See / 15. July till 30. September 2008

“With her project “Lent Landscapes” Georgia Creimer has interpreted “journey home” in a very tangible way. She brought 28 photographs of the small Brazilian town Lençois to Lunz am See and mounted them on cleverly placed signs so that they could enter into a dialogue with the Austrian town – we see buildings or a construction site, the surrounding countryside, the lake, the vegetation, the benches that invite one to stop and rest in these landscapes. The photographs have been selected and mounted so that the pictures from Lencois correspond as directly as possible to the new backdrop. The parallels between the two so very distant towns often elicit awe. Often one has the feeling that one only has to turn ones gaze to the find a depiction in reality…”
