„... In ihrer Arbeit setzt sich die aus São Paulo stammende Künstlerin Georgia Creimer mit den Grundsätzen menschlichen wie natürlichen Existierens auseinander. Dabei versteht sie ihr Schaffen nicht als einem speziellen Thema unterstellt, sondern viel eher als eine Auseinandersetzung mit menschlichem ‘Naturempfinden’ überhaupt. So ist dann auch alles was sie produziert, als Bearbeitung körperlicher Denk- und Gefühlszustände zu begreifen. Ihre Installationen können als Metapher gelesen werden, welche sich, im Raum verstreut, in der Totalität der Installation wieder potenziell zur Ganzheit eines Organismus zusammenschließt ...“
“…This state of being in-between is also significant for Creimer's works in general: her sculptures and objects lie on the borderline between the amorphous and the abstract, between the organic and the anorganic. So they are part of a discourse on bringing the process of knowledge to life where a mutual transfer between art and life sciences has replaced the dualism between culture and nature. In her workgroup Naturezas she explores the 'assimilation' of designed objects — in the broadest sense, architectural ones — with their 'natural' conditions. Creimer developed a series of hybrid forms here that reflect the manifold relationships between nature and culture, and in genre-specific terms lie between classical sculpture and the readymade. In the work Kalb (Calf), for example, elements of animal requisites meet the methods of artistic production. Georgia Creimer erected a plasterboard wall around the contours of a genuine calfskin, and covered the cloth-like rounded outlines with a transparent sheet of Plexiglas, unfurling a dialogue between the different senses addressed and the tactile properties of the materials ...”
