“untitled (the difficult space)” is the title of a work conceived for the group exhibition ‟the difficult space”. This exhibition was curated by Gilbert Bretterbauer and took place from November 2015 to February 2016 in the Kunsthaus Muerz. The exhibition title “the difficult space” refers to the Buchebner Hall in the Kunsthaus Muerz. Its ground plan resembles that of the Baroque church to which the KHM was added as an annex in 1998. I have placed my work in what was previously the apse of the church. My idea was on the one hand to so-to-say “mark” or highlight the apse as a place of happening and focus, and on the other hand to enter into a kind of dialogue with the “technical-functional” nature of the architecture.
